BIO // 01
Frank Ceraolo is a seasoned promo and A&R dynamo who has been an active player in the music industry since 1986. Although his musical upbringing in Cleveland, Ohio led him to initially pursue mobile djing, once he graduated John Carroll University, his drive and passion motivated him to move to Los Angeles and set his sights on something MUCH bigger.
One afternoon in 1987, he answered a open casting call for an extra in the Miami Sound Machine video, “Rhythm is Gonna Get You”, which was directed by Kenny Ortega. After meeting Gloria Estefan that day, he decided that he wanted to be more involved in the music industry. The following day, he began calling record companies, inquiring about internships. When he called Epic Records, they needed someone. Frank applied and became the office intern for the next few months. He soon impressed the execs at the label with his vast knowledge of music and soon landed himself a executive assistant position in the Promotion department.
In 1990, Frank moved to New York City, where he was promoted to Dance Music Manger, handling and servicing retail stores. Within six months, he advanced to Dance/Crossover Director for Epic Records. During the next several years, he was responsible for cultivating the development of such successful crossover acts as Culture Beat, Rozalla, MPeople, and Kathy Sledge, to name a few. From 1990-94, Billboard magazine consecutively named Epic Records the #1 Dance Label of the Year.
In 1991, he began working closely with Gloria Estefan, where Frank spearheaded a reimaging campaign of Gloria at the club level. While working with Gloria and Emilio, he suggested that she record the club classic, “Turn the Beat Around”—they both loved the idea, and Gloria soon recorded the track. This lead to the birth of the triple platinum album, “Hold Me, Thrill Me, Kiss Me”, Gloria’s first gold single in five years, and 2 consecutive #1 club tracks, “Turn” and “Everlasting Love”. In 1996, Billboard magazine awarded Gloria Estefan the #1 Dance Artist of the year, the first Latina to ever achieve that feat.
Frank soon transitioned into the marketing department, with Gloria as his #1 act, but it wasn’t his only triumph. He also worked with such superstar acts as Michael Jackson, Jennifer Lopez, Donna Summer, Sade, Luther Vandross, Celine Dion, as well as taking on A&R responsibilities for several of the aforementioned artists. One of his major achievements during this period was being the sole A&R person handling the remixes for Michael Jackson, from the album, “Dangerous”, “HIStory” and including the album A&R for “Blood on the Dance Floor”.
After leaving Epic, he started up his own promotion and marketing company,May I Be FRANK, Inc., where he continues to passionately promote records as well as take on new challenges, including Editor duties for the Latin Music Club Report magazine and website. One of his recent achievements has been reuniting with Gloria Estefan, and notching back-to-back #1 Billboard Club singles, “Wepa” and “Hotel Nacional”. Frank facilitated as album coordinator and remix A&R between management and the label.
He has also notched recent #1 singles for legendary artists such as Dave Aude f Olivia Newton-John & daughter, Chloe Lattanzi/"You Have To Believe", the Pet Shop Boys/"The Pop Kids", and Enrique Iglesias/"Duele El Corazon".
He is currently spearheading various projects at the moment, including the upcoming releases from SR/"Koinz" and Aggro Santos/"Bomba".
Although the climate of the music business continues to change and evolve, Frank continues to champion new and developing artists, remixers and producers to the club audience, whether the focus is on the Billboard Club Chart, Global Clubs, or the LGBT community, he continues to passionately achieve for his artists.

SR/"Koinz"/
I AM SR, LLC
--Peaked @#7 on the Billboard Club Chart in February 2017
This was the second track/project that SR & I worked on --
when we began speaking about this track, I already had a STRONG feeling that it was going to be a BIG HIT-- luckily, she is an artist who is always open to ideas and has a great team behind her to help execute her vision!!
I wanted to approach this track in a different way than we did with her debut single, "I Don't See Em", which peaked @#24 in 2016. It was paramount that we have ALL the setup tools necessary to make this track a huge success, beginning with remixes and artwork. We enlisted a STRONG team of remixers which included RIDDLER, Danny Diggz, Cristian Poow, DJ Suri/Chris Daniel, Giuseppe D., just to name a few. We also executed a Remix Contest, in which we accepted remixes from various sources-- from that contest came additional mixes (and a subsequent commercial BONUS REMIX EP) that helped to propel the track into the Top10, finally reaching a peak of #7, which included newer mixes from James Anthony, C-ROD, DJ Deanne, Timmy Loop, and Dena Cucci.
In addition, when we launched "Koinz", it was essential that we have a powerful VISUAL evoking female empowerment -- so she delivered, even though she had to work on MOST of the video herself, since her initial choice of video director did not prove to be effective (or share in her vision) of what this video was to become. After the DEBUT of the Official Video, we did several remix videos to companion some of the stronger remixes from the package, which helped to lengthen the campaign keeping the overall popularity of the track going well into the Summer of 17.
PHASES/"I'm In Love With My Life"/
Warner Bros.
--Peaked @#4 on the Billboard Club Chart in February 2016
Although this project had its share of "stops and starts", it has proven to be one of the most successful projects of 2016.
Brought to me initially by PHASES manager, Kimberly Knoller, who also handles Echosmith, she approached me with some remixes that had been done for alternative radio, plus a couple new ones, including a NEW Dave Aude mix.
The Dave Aude mix was strong, but we needed additional remixes in the package to support the management vision, which was to achieve a Top10, or possibly #1 Club track.
Management and the label discussed a possibility of crossing this over to pop radio, so we were awarded a modest remix budget to pull in some additional talent to this track, i.e., Sted-E & Hybrid Heights, Love to Infinity, UFO HunTerZ, The Good Girls, Ranny, to name a few.
Once the remixes were completed and serviced to the clubs, the overwhelming responses from DJs did the rest-- the track beelined up the chart into the Top5, eventually peaking at #4!
Special THANKS on this project goes to Orlando Puerta, from Citrusonic, who partnered with me on PHASES!
